Some "enchanted" evening...

I just know that there may be some readers who will think that I have clearly and unapologetically copied Ian's fine posting, dated this very day. But honest, I didn't. It's just that we attended the same event, The Enchanted Forest 2013, several days apart. Honest. :)

With all due respect to Rodgers and Hammerstein's 1949 musical, it really was "some enchanted evening", and we didn't have to travel to the "South Pacific". We found it in Faskally Wood, Pitlochry. The annual event is put on by local folks and it's simply magnificent. Walking around the tiny loch, with an stunning light show accompanied by stirring music in multiple venues, stirred the imagination - and the child within. It's an award-winning event here in Scotland - and there were visitors from all over the world.

The theme for The Enchanted Forest 2013...

"ABSORB...Glow wild".

Well done, Pitlochry, well done indeed!

Duncan.

  1. Glad you both enjoyed it D & J ! No copying of posts here - just that I was a bit late off the mark..... :o)

Who'd have thought that some lights, music some trees and a loch could be so, well, absorbing?!

    Kind Regards
