Hearts warmed on the cold desert floor...

There was a magnificent display of warmth on the cold Chilean desert floor. Tonight, the world watched shift foreman Luis Urzua, the last of the miners to leave the depths of the earth, step out of the Phoenix capsule.

His was the first voice to be heard when the 33 were first discovered to be alive. He said, "We are well and hoping that you will rescue us."

They did just that.

And in so doing, they touched and warmed our hearts.

  2. Thanks L, it's just so refreshing that the world can share so fully an uplifting account of persistence and hope. As you will imagine, there's more to come on this from me...:-)
